Landing at the Incident

Fly to the incident and land within the landing circle of 0.5 NM around the incident point.

Step by step

  1. Fly to the incident. Heading and distance are continuously updated.
  2. Once you are within the landing circle, the app indicates that you are in the landing zone.
  3. Land the helicopter and shut down the engines. The app only registers a valid landing when you are on the ground and the engines are off.
Engine shutdown required

In the Netherlands, HEMS operations require the engine to be shut down after landing as standard procedure. The app requires this too: as long as the engines are running while on the ground, the app will wait before proceeding to the next phase and will clearly indicate this on screen.

After landing, the status changes to "On scene" and a treatment timer starts.
