Getting Started

When you open OnAirTools for the first time, you need to enter your OnAir Company credentials. Without these, the tool cannot connect to your fleet or your open assignments.

Step 1 — Find your API credentials

Your API credentials can be found in the OnAir Airline Manager desktop application:

  1. Open the OnAir Airline Manager desktop application.
  2. Click Options in the menu bar at the top.
  3. Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.
  4. Go to the Debug & connectivity tab.
  5. Scroll to the Technical Identifiers section.
  6. Copy your Company Unique ID (second field).
  7. Copy your Company API Key (third field).

Step 2 — Enter credentials in OnAirTools

  1. Go to onairtools.com.
  2. Click Settings in the navigation bar (or you will be redirected automatically if no credentials have been entered yet).
  3. Enter your Company Unique ID in the first field.
  4. Enter your Company API Key in the second field.
  5. Click Test Connection to verify the connection works.
  6. Save your credentials with Save Settings.
Test your connection

Always use the Test Connection button after entering your credentials. If the connection fails, check that you have copied the correct fields — the Company Unique ID is a UUID (format: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).

Privacy — your data stays local

Your API key and Company ID are stored exclusively in your own browser (via localStorage). This means:

  • They are not stored on OnAirTools servers.
  • They are not shared with third parties.
  • They are only used to fetch data from the OnAir API.
  • They are deleted when you clear your browser data.

OnAirTools does not collect any personally identifiable information. Read more on the OnAirTools privacy page.

Step 3 — Ready to fly

After saving your credentials you will be automatically redirected to the Route Planner, the main module of OnAirTools. Your fleet will load and you can start planning right away.

Do you use multiple devices? See how to use the Quick Device Setup (QR code pairing) to quickly transfer your credentials to another device.
