Settings
The Settings page is where you manage all personal settings in OnAirTools: your API credentials, weight unit, PDF logo, device pairing and synchronisation.
API credentials
Enter your OnAir Company credentials here. See Getting Started for a step-by-step guide on where to find these credentials.
- Company Unique ID — the UUID of your company, found in the OnAir Airline Manager under Options > Preferences > Debug & connectivity.
- Company API Key — your personal API key, found in the same location.
Use the Test Connection button to verify that the entered credentials are correct and the connection works.
Your API credentials are stored exclusively in your own browser (localStorage). They are never sent to OnAirTools servers and are not visible to others.
Weight unit
Choose whether to display weights in lbs (pounds) or kg (kilograms). This setting applies throughout the entire application: in the capacity indicator, in the cargo input and in exported PDFs.
PDF logo
You can upload your own logo to be included in your exported PDF reports. Drag an image to the upload area or click it to select a file. Use the Remove button to delete the logo.
Device pairing (Quick Device Setup)
If you want to use OnAirTools on multiple devices, you do not have to manually re-enter your API credentials. The QR code pairing lets you quickly and securely transfer your credentials.
Show QR code
- Click Show QR Code on the device you are already logged in on.
- A QR code will appear in a popup.
- Open OnAirTools on the new device and go to Settings.
- Click Scan QR Code and point the camera at the QR code.
- The credentials are automatically transferred and the page reloads.
Manual code
If your camera is not available, you can also use a text code:
- Click Show QR Code then Show as Text.
- Copy the full code (starts with
OATP:). - On the other device, go to Settings > Scan QR Code > Enter Code Manually.
- Paste the code and click Apply.
The pairing code contains your API credentials. Never share this code with others and only scan QR codes from your own devices.
Cross-device synchronisation
The synchronisation feature automatically syncs your route and cargo data across all your devices. This works via an anonymous sync key — no account or personal information is required.
Enable sync
- Click Generate New Sync Key to create a unique key.
- Synchronisation is automatically enabled.
- Copy the key and enter it on your other devices (or use the QR pairing, which also transfers the sync key).
Managing sync
- Enable/Disable Sync — temporarily disable synchronisation without deleting the key.
- Delete All Synced Data — remove all data from the server. Your sync key is retained so you can use it again afterwards.
What is synchronised?
- Aircraft ID (from OnAir Company)
- Cargo data (weight, destination, price)
- Route planning data (ICAO codes)
What is NOT synchronised:
- Your API key and Company ID (these remain local)
- Personal information
- IP addresses or device details
Synchronised data is automatically deleted after 6 months of inactivity.
