Privacy & Data
OnAirTools is built with privacy as a starting point. Below you will find an overview of what data is stored, where and for how long.
API credentials
Your Company Unique ID and Company API Key are stored exclusively in your own browser (localStorage). This means:
- They are not on OnAirTools servers.
- They are not shared with third parties.
- They are only used to fetch data from the OnAir Company API via a proxy.
- They are deleted when you clear your browser data or use a different browser.
Route data
Your planned routes and cargo data are stored in your browser (localStorage). This data:
- Remains local on your device.
- Is not sent to servers, unless you have enabled synchronisation.
- Can be deleted via your browser settings.
Synchronisation (optional)
If you enable the synchronisation feature, technical route data is stored on the OnAirTools server, linked to your anonymous sync key. No personal information is stored. Synchronised data is automatically deleted after 6 months of inactivity.
See Settings — synchronisation for more details.
Analytics
OnAirTools uses Google Analytics to track anonymous usage statistics, such as the number of visitors, browsers used and popular pages. This only happens with your consent via the cookie banner.
Google Analytics does not collect API keys, personal data or specific flight or cargo information.
Cookies
OnAirTools uses two types of cookies:
- Essential cookies — to store your cookie preference (localStorage, no tracking).
- Analytical cookies — Google Analytics cookies, only after consent.
You can update your cookie preferences at any time via the Settings page.
Privacy legislation
OnAirTools complies with GDPR (European privacy legislation), the Dutch Telecommunications Act and the EU Cookie Directive.
