Landing at the incident

Fly to the incident and land within the 0.5 NM landing circle around the incident point.

Step by step

  1. Fly to the incident. Heading and distance are continuously updated.
  2. Once you're within the landing circle, the app indicates you're in the landing zone.
  3. Land the helicopter and shut down the engines. The app only registers a valid landing when you're on the ground with the engines off.
Engine shutdown required

In the Netherlands, standard HEMS procedure is to shut down the engines after landing on scene. The app requires this too: as long as the engines are running while on the ground, the app waits and clearly indicates this on screen.

After landing, the status switches to "On scene" and a treatment timer begins.
